What happens inside a quest?

Once you tap Join Quest, a few things kick off:

Step 1 – Intro & timer

• You see the quest name + short narrative (“what’s the vibe / theme”).

• A countdown timer starts (roughly a 15‑minute window per person).

• You see 3 “treasures” (spots that need signals).
  
  

Step 2 – Pick your treasure

• Tap one of the treasures → it zooms in.

• You choose:

• “Start Signaling” (take a new pic) or

• “Browse Catalog” (use a signal you already made).
  
  

Step 3 – Create / pick your signal

If you hit Start Signaling, you go through a super simple flow:

1. Take a photo (camera opens).

2. Slide to answer: “How does this make you feel?” (emoji slider).

3. Pick the part of the image you want to use as the signal.

4. Confirm → Vyry turns that into a signal with some hidden attributes (vibe, objects, colors, etc.).
   
   

If you hit Browse Catalog instead, you just pick one of your existing signals from your library.

Step 4 – Matching & leaderboard

• The app does a quick “match” score between your signal and the treasure (0–100%).

• Your match % shows up and the quest leaderboard updates so you can see how you stack vs teammates.
  
  

Now your treasure circle is filled with your signal. When all 3 treasures are filled (3 different students), the quest is ready.

Step 5 – Create the team Xfiti

When all 3 signals are in:

• You see “Create Xfiti”.

• The app runs a short creation animation.

• It spits out one shared Xfiti built from everyone’s signals.

• Then you get a “Beam Xfiti” screen to preview it and beam it in AR on the map.
  
  

Boom – quest complete! You just co-created an AR artwork with your squad.
